My Hobby

I have many hobbies, such as reading, skating, and watching TV. But reading is my favorite hobby.

I like reading for three reasons. First of all, books introduce me to a new world, which is colorful and without time and space limit. Through reading, I can trace back to ancient Egypt, the

cradle of human civilization. It can bring me to the United States, a glamorous land I have been longing to visit. Secondly, reading can better me by showing me a new horizon. In the past

years, most of my knowledge has been obtained from books. I have learned from many people by reading about their ideas on science, politics, life and society. Thirdly, reading bridges the gap between my dream and my goal. In order to succeed in my career in the future, I must keep reading, thinking and practicing.

Reading has become part of my life. Every day, I spend some time reading books, newspapers and magazines. At night, I can hardly go to sleep without a novel in my hand.

An English Christmas evening party is to be held in the meeting hall of our school from 7:00 to 10:00 p. m. on Christmas Eve. Each group has to give at least two performances, such as singing English songs, giving English plays, telling jokes or stories in English and reading English poems. My Friend

Li Min is my friend. She is tall, healthy and lively. She does well in all subjects. She is fond of sports and is good at singing and dancing.

Li Min works hard at English. When she came to the school, she had quite a lot of difficulties with the language. But she was not afraid of them and always tried hard to overcome them. She was active in class and did a lot of practice after class. No pains, no gains.With great efforts she made much progress in English study.

Li Min is modest and always ready to help others. She is very strict with herself in her work and daily life. She sets us all a fine example.

My Favorite Place

Many people have favorite places they like to go to when they are feeling sad or bored. I, too, have favorite places that I go to as often as I can.

Here are the three places that I like most. First of all, I like the zoo. The animals are amazing because some are so cute and some are so ugly! I like to pet them, feed them and watch them perform. Museums are cool places, too. They have good exhibits and fascinating displays. I like the works of art there. Some museums teach me a lot

about history and science. From dinosaurs to robots, I love it all. Finally, theme parks are a blast. I love to go on the wild rides. I think the roller coasters are the best. It’s fun to scream and get scared.

These places always cheer me up. I tyro to go to each of my favorite places once a year. I am going to find more favorite places to go to when I grow up.

My School Trip

We had a great time on the school trip.

We went to Shanghai for vacation. We took the plane to Shanghai. That was a lot more fun than taking a bus or train.First, we visited the Oriental Pearl. It was very beautiful.Next we went to Shanghai Waitan. The weather was warm and sunny.So we could enjoy the sunshine.Then we went to the Blue Water Aquarium to watch sharks.But there were not any sharks.What a pity!After that, my classmate sand I planned to hang out on the street. We bought a lot of gifts,and I bought a small red hat as a souvenir. It was very nice.Finally, we took the bus back to the hotel.And we had Shanghai food for dinner. It was very delicious.

It's our duty to protect our environment. Where do we live? The earth. The earth is the only one place we live in. So you know how important the environment is.

But now, some people are harming the environment, like cutting down trees, drawing pictures on public walls, littering onto the ground. It's terrible if we still do it.

Now, it's time for all the people in the society to protect the environment. It's our duty. It needs each of us to make a contribution to improving the environment. We should make our environment more and more beautiful. How do I learn English

Everyone has their own learning methods .

Last year my English was difficult . At first , I can't spell the words. I can't understand grammar. I also scared to speak in class , because I thought my class might laugh at me .

Later on, I realized that it doesn't matter if you don't understand grammar.

Now , after class I study by listening English tapes every day . Evening, I can watch English-language TV . I can recite some words. I can speak English in my class , because my classmates won't laugh at me . However, I make mistakes in grammar . I'm sure their will help me. After class , I often have conversations with my friends . Sometimes, I can read English magazines . That memorizing the words also help a lot . I can practice writing . I do it often.

I'm writing three or four times a week .

Learning english can be a very difficult task for most people, this is because we do not live in a environment where we are forced to speak or write english. so i think the best way to learn english is by communicating with others using the language itself and not just learn from the book. I am sure if you live in an environment such as a foreign country and were forced to speak and write english everyday then your english will improve dramatically.

Although we must agree that we need to read and write english from the book in order to get the foundations that we need for basic communication, this is essential but as i said, this is only a foundation, what you develop afterwards all depends on your ability to adapt to an environment and your courage.
