How to protect animals in danger?

Everyone knows that animals are our friends.

Animals are important in our lives, and they do a lot of things for human beings. Dogs can guide blind people to walk safely and help the police look for drug. Milk comes from cows. Cats catch mice. Horses and elephants help people carry heavy things. Pigeons were used to carry messages thousands of years ago.

It is sad to know that many animals are in danger, so I think we must try our best to protect them. First, we should protect the environment. Don’t cut trees so that animals can have safe places to live in. Don’t pollute the air and river s because the animals can have clean water to drink and safe food to eat. Second, it is a good idea to build natural reserves to let animals live in peace. These ways can help increase（增加） the number of the animals in danger. Third, we

can raise money for some organizations / groups to save more animals. We can also be volunteers and do some things to help them.

In a word, people can’t live well without animals around us. We need to protect animals and treat them as our friends, then our world will be a big and happy family.

Traffic rules

It’s very important for students to know about the traffic rules.

When the red light is on, you must stop and you are not allowed to go on walking. It’s safe to cross the road when the light is green. When the orange light is on, you must wait and be careful, because the red light will be on soon. Here are some suggestions to protect ourselves. First, we should follow the traffic lights and can’t break the traffic rules. Second, we’d better lo ok left and right to make sure we are safe when we want to cross the street. Last but not least, don’t forget that it’s very dangerous to play on the street.

If everyone follows the traffic rules, we will have a happy life.

How to learn English

1).

Learning English is just like learning any other language.

It is hard work, so my first advice is to spend much time practicing using English every day. Besides, we should listen to the teacher and take notes carefully in class. Go over what is learnt regularly and finish doing our homework carefully. Listen to English radio programmes, read English stories and newspapers, watch English films and TV programmes , keep a diary in English and attend English debates and speech contests. If we make mistakes, correct them at once and try not to make the same mistakes. What's more, we should look up new words in the dictionary before class and prepare each lesson carefully before class.

I believe if we work hard and have good ways of learning English, we will learn English well.

2).

Spoken English is very important. We often talk with an Englishman by spoken English. It is one way to express our ideas.

I like to speak English as much as possible. I often talk in English with people around me .

I have recited most of the texts in our English books. Besides, in the morning I read English

aloud to practice my pronunciation/ sound or listen to radio to improve my pronunciation. I’m happy that the teacher says my pronunciation is good.

In the future, I’ll listen to more tapes and do more speaking. If I have a chance, I’ll go to England to learn spoken English.

Protect our environment

My name is Li Min, a girl from Class 5, Grade 3, Sun School.

As middle school students, we should do some things to protect our environment. First, we can save as much energy as possible. For example, we can go to school by bike instead of by car. Second, try to recycle wastes such as old newspaper, bottles and cans. Third, we can plant more trees to make our environment greener and cleaner.

In a word, the environment is very important and it’s our duty to protect it. Please join us and take action.

My Sports

1). Football is my favorite sport. Every time I play football with my classmates in the playground, we are very excited. During this summer vacation, I usually play football at four o’clock in the afternoon. I usually play it with Peter. He is one of my good frie nds. I haven’t got a football but Peter has a good one. He always plays with me and we are happy. I watched the FIFA World Cup 2006 on TV in this summer vacation. My father and my mother are all football fans. They made me into a little fan. Although I like the German football team, they didn’t win the champion in the end, and I was very disappointed.

I love this game, and I hope that I can be a football star in my school.

2). Swimming is My Favorite Sport

I’m neither inter ested in sports nor good at it but except swimming. I can swim since I was a baby. My mother tells me that she lets me swim in the water with a life-buoy when I was 20 days old. And then I can swim gradually. When I grow up, I like swimming very much. I swim all the year round. Swimming in summer makes me feel comfortable to lower my temperature. When in winter swimming makes me feel excited .

In general, swimming keeps me fit physically and mentally. Whenever I feel upset, I would go swimming and then I would be full of energy and feel relaxed. Besides I believe it is due to swimming that I’m so thin. If who wants to lose weight. Please join me. We can make more friends in swimming.
