Zhangjiakou city, located in the northwest of Hebei Province, used to be an important fortress.With long history,Zhangjiakou is affluent in tourism resources.It is now famous for the Great Wall,the earliest ancestors culture,grassland and skiing resorts.

The Dajingmen section in Zhangjiakou is a symbol of the Great Wall and is a good place to enjoy.The section is very spectacular and majestic.The Dajingmen Pass is a bridge that links Zhangjiakou People of other countries and regions.

Zhuolu Country is the birthplace of Chinese civilization.About five thousand years ago,the famous battles of Zhuolu and Banquan were carried among the three ancestor----Emperor Huang,Emperor Yan and Chiyou for the territory.Finally,Emperor Huang won the battles and chose Zhuolu for the capital.5000 years have passed ,the ancient battlefields,Emperor Yan’s camp and Chiyou’s city still can be found.

If you visit Zhangjiakou,you will never forget the wide grassland---Zhongdu Grassland.It attracts an ideal place for escaping heat in summer.The grassland in the highland of Zhangjiakou attracts tourists with beautiful scenery.The newly promoted tourism products include:camp fire,hunting on horse,folk-dancing and so on.

Skiing in the winter is also a good idea.Chingli Skiing Ground in Zhangjiakou occupies an area of more than 20 square kilometers. In

the winder,snow is one meter thick or so.Aunual snow period lasts for about 120 days.It is the best place for athletics and tourists skiing.

Other scenic spots such as the Chicheng Hot Spring,the Water Mater Palace,the Old Stone Ruins in Nihewan,the Qingyuan Tower,the Guanting Lake are also very attractive to visit.

The special local products are Dried mushroom,Chaigoubu’s smoked meat,Surface,Edible wild herbs and Grapes.
