Without friendship, one can not be happy though he is well off. Friendship is one of the greatest pleasures that people can enjoy.

A Chinese folk singer has received an apology from a bank after he was refused an account(账户) because of his disability. Zhou Yunpeng is blind, and was told he was not allowed a bank account when he visited his local Bank of China branch in southern Shenzhen. The bank said it was because he was thought to be "a person without capacity for civil conduct(民事行为能力)". The event has sparked discussion on Chinese media(媒体) about whether enough is being done to help the disabled.

Some 85 million people in China have a disability, 17 million of whom have problems with their eyes. Mr Zhou said on 26 March that he already had a personal Bank of China account, and visited the Shenzhen bank to set up a business debit card. He posted(发帖子) on the popular Sina Weibo microblog that he was repeatedly asked by an unnamed member of staff: "Can you not see at all?" When he confirmed that he couldn't, he was told that "people without civil capacity cannot be set up" with an account, and was refused further service.

Mr Zhou’s post sparked outrage across the country, and prompted shares and comments from thousands of users. Many said they were "shocked" by the bank’s decision, and blamed excessive bureaucracy coming at the expense of basic respect. Many users called on the bank to make a public apology. Mr Zhou says that he has since received a letter from the regional branch.

The Bank of China says that it is surveying the incident, and the letter offers Mr Zhou "the sincerest apologies" for the way he was treated. It promises better and more professional services in the future.

It doesn’t have to be just one town or one apartment complex. Backpacking(徒步旅行) may not be for everyone, but it’s not the only way you can see the world. Travelling doesn’t just have to be going overseas but also dropping by many states. Culture exists not just in a country but even in small communities.

Achieve new life skills. Maybe it’s time that you finally learn how to fix a broken faucet or even fix the faulty light in your bathroom. You can finally cross out your bucket list items that have been there forever. Learn how to drive a car or ride a bike. There are definitely things you don’t know how to do, and you have a lifetime ahead of you to learn. It’s never too late to start learning something new.

Take risks. The first step to learning is accepting that you’re easy to make mistakes. Once you’ve accepted that, you’ll have an easier time taking in things and risking everything in favor(有利于) of your passion. Keeping your 9-to-5 job may keep you secure, but if you’re bored and no longer happy, is it really happy? Submitting(提交) an article to your favorite publication in the world may mean rejection, but it can also mean getting published! Stop hesitating because that’s no way to live.

Maybe you know floods, earthquakes, sandstorms and so on. But have you heard of typhoons?

Typhoons are some of the worst storms, usually around the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea. Most happen in July, August and September.

How does a typhoon happen? When lots of sea water gets hot in the summer sun, it evaporates（蒸发）into the air. This makes the air hotter. When the air gets warm enough, it starts to move higher up into sky. Then cooler air around it rushes in. It fills the space that is left. Typhoons are very dangerous. In November this year, Typhoon Haiyan killed 5500 people in Philippines. More people are missing.

What to do when a typhoon hits?

Stay inside. Close all the windows and stay away from them.

Try to bring all of your things inside. Strong winds could even blow away your bikes!
