Tele-medicine is a technology that allows doctors to "see" patients without them being in the same place. This is made possible through high-speed communication networks (网络).At both ends of the line, the way of video-meeting lets them see and talk to each other. Would it be a perfect holiday for you? "I can fill an empty stomach with tomato and egg soup, but that's all. I think many of my classmates are the same. We wouldn't know what to do, or how to look after ourselves," said Zheng Chenyu. "And I'd forget something important. I'd probably watch television and burn the soup." "As soon as I leave home, I'll learn to cook. But now parents do almost everything for us. We're very lazy," she said. Most teenagers have only time for their homework. 最新牛津初三英语中考任务型阅读专练:完成表格

完成表格任务型阅读专练 【2012江苏盐城】阅读下列短文,根据短文内容完成表格中所缺信息,每空一词。 In common with countries, Britain has serious environmental problems. In 1952, more than 4,000 people died in London because of the smog. The government introduced new laws to stop smog from coal fires and factories and the situation improved a lot. Today, London is much cleaner but there is a new problem: smog from cars. In December 1991, there was very little wind in London and pollution increased a lot. As a result, about 160 people died from pollution in just four days. Part of the problem is the new ‘out of town’ shopping centres. In the past, people often walked to shops near their home or want by bus. Now, many people drive to the new shopping centres. As a result, the small shops have disappeared and more people have to travel to do their shopping. Critics say that Britain needs better and cheaper public transport. Transport in Britain is very expensive. An early morning train trip from Glasgow to London (about 600km) can cost about £100, for example. A short 15-minute bus trip can cost over £1.00. Many people are trying to reduce the use of cars in Britain. Some cities now have special bicycle paths and many people cycle to work. Some people also travel to work together in one car to reduce the pollution and the cost. 【答案】46. Problems 47. Results 48. past 49. from 50. These four blood types were named A, B, AB, and O. People have one of these four types. Blood type O is the most common around the world. Blood type A is the second most common, and type AB is the least common. If people with A blood are given type B blood, or people with type B blood are given type A blood, they will probably die. In 1927, a Japanese doctor, Furukawa Takeji, carried out research and came up with the idea that people with different blood types also had different personalities. He said that people with type A are usually calm and serious; people with type B blood are curious, cheerful, and outgoing; people with type O blood are generous and honest; while those with type AB blood are caring, original , and careful. Most recently, a doctor in the United States wrote a book that links blood types and what people eat. For example, his book suggests people with type O blood should eat more meat and less bread. A diet for people with type A blood includes more vegetables. His book, Eat Right for

高考英语任务型阅读习题及答案doc

一、高中英语任务型阅读 1.请认真阅读下列短文,并根据所读内容在文章后表格中的空格里填入一个最恰当的单词。 Decoding the young brain There was a funny experiment to see how a young child would answer a specific question compared to an adult. After the adult had spent some time speaking with the child, he asked the child, “What do you think about me?” The child answered, “You talk too much.” When the adult performed the same experiment with another adult, the reply to the same question was, “I think you're a very interesting person.” Even if the adult f elt the same way as the child, his brain allowed him to take a moment, consider the question, and come up with an answer. He could have been annoyed, but his answer didn't reflect it because he was being polite. The secret lies in the science of the developing brain. The child's honest answer was reflected in the fact that his brain wasn't equipped to filter(过滤) information before answering the question. As a result, he was honest, but he said something that may have been hurtful. However, the child did not intentionally hurt the adult; it's just the way his brain works. As a child grows into adolescence and then into adulthood, that changes. The human brain is made up of billions of neurons(神经元). In order for our body to execute a command, like getting up from a chair and walking to the other room, the neurons in the brain have to communicate with each other. They also help us employ our senses like taste and touch and help us remember things. When the neurons send messages, perhaps one sensation(感觉) the person feels is excitement about eating a cookie because it is so delicious. Later, if that person smells a cookie or hears someone talking about a cookie, it can spark the electrical signals that call up the memory of eating the delicious cookie. In an adult, he or she may remember that eating too many cookies can have consequences, like weight gain. But because the younger brain is more impulsive(冲动的), the desire to feel the pleasure of the sweet treat outweighs the consequences. That is becau se when a child is young, his brain is “wired” in such a way that he seeks pleasure and is more willing to take risks than an adult. This affects his decision-making process and it is why younger people tend to be more impulsive. Sometimes parents have to tell their children over and over again before the child remembers that something is dangerous or risky. How many times have we heard a parent say, “I tell her this all the time, but she never listens!” To conclude, what we know about the young brain is that children are more likely than adults to be impulsive. It isn't always necessarily because they are being naughty; it may very well be because of their brains. So the next time you ask a child what he really thinks of you, be prepared for any kind of answer.

牛津版九年级英语专题复习:任务型阅读

阅读理解——任务型阅读 示例一 What do we really mean by being open?Being open is a kind of invitation to others to come in,to speak and to share. It is important in letting others get to know how we think and feel. In this way we will be understood and accepted by others. If we aren't open with others,we won't fully believe in ourselves or others. Here are a few ways for you to be more open. First, make your outside behavior the same with your inside feelings and thoughts,Second, share how you really feel about something instead of just opinions. Third, try to change your questions into statements(陈述句) and talk in the first person so that people will understand you more easily. For example, you might say,“I feel happy that you're here,”instead of,“Are you glad that you're here?”Finally, try not to say,“I don't know.”This usually means I don't want to think about it and more. Remember also that it is not suitable to be open with everyone in every situation. You may want to be more open with close friends, but not with people you don't know well, because you are not sure how someone else will use what they know about you. Besides, some people may not be used to too much openness. If we say everything we feel or think to them, they will feel every uncomfortable at times. In all, being open is a good way for us to get on well with other people, but we'd better keep the balance between being open and not being too open. 【文章大意】本文介绍了一种处世的态度:坦率(坦诚)。在第二段介绍了坦率的几种方法;在第三段主要探讨了坦率对人的注意事项,也即坦率也要分场合以及因人而异。 Title: Being open Meanings of being open ?__1__ others to come in,to speak and to share. ?Show others __2__ we think and feel. ?Let others understand and __3_ us. ?Believe in ourselves and others by being
