一、对`物`划线用What.

“对划线部分提问”是我们在考试中经常遇到的题型,那么今天我们就一起专门练习一下这样的题吧!

对下列句子中划线部分提问:

1. Tom is eleven.

2. He goes to school by bike.

3. There are five people in his family.

4. There is much milk in the glass.

5. Li Lei watches TV six times a month.

6. Jack sees the movies twice a week.

解题剖析:

1. How old is Tom? 就年龄提问时,应用how old。

2. How does he go to school? 就动作、行为方式提问时,疑问词用how。

3. How many people are there in his family? 就数词five提问,并且这里people 作“人”讲,单、复数均为本身,故用how many提问。

4. How much milk is there in the glass?就数量多少提问,而且milk是不可数名词,故应用how much提问。

5. How many times does Li Lei watch TV a month? 这里仅仅就six times a month 中的six times提问,故用how many times 表示“多少次”。

6. How often does Jack see the movies? twice a week 表示频率,即“多长时间一次”,故用how often。

初学英语的同学做遇到对划线部分提问的题目,总是感觉手忙脚乱,或者是无从下手,笔者认为大家只要记住关键的“三步”,保证你们做起题来会万无一失。

第一步:根据划线部分的词、句确定特殊疑问词。whose, what , how , when , where ,why , which, who , because, how many, what colour, how much, how old ,how long,

how often等。

注意:划线部分语句的意思就是你要变成的问句的答案,这是确定确定特殊疑问词的捷径。如:

1.Lily plays soccer every day.确定用what。

2.She cleaned room last night. 确定用when。

3.He is at home. 确定用where。

4.Her coat is red. 确定用what colour。

5.Tom’s bike is $ 50. 确定用how much 。

6.This is Lucy’s book. 确定用whose 。

7.She likes English because it is interesting. 确定用why

第二步:去掉画线部分。因为如果不去掉画线部分语句可能会造成你所问的句子前后矛盾。如:What’s your name Wang Wei? (你叫什么名字王伟?)

1.Lily plays soccer every day.

2.She cleaned room last night.

3.He is at home.

4.Her coat is red.

5.Tom’s bike is $ 50.

6.This is Lucy’s book.

7.She likes English because it is interesting.

第三步:把去掉划线部分后的句子变成一般疑问句,然后把它添加在特殊疑问词后,加上问号。

1.What does Lily play every day?

2.When did he clean room ?

3.Where is h e ?

4.What colour is her coat?

5.How much is Tom’s bike?

6.Whse book is this ?

7.Why does she like English?

大家要注意的几种特殊情况:

使用who时要分清主语和宾语:

(1.)如果是对主语提问只要用who替换主语部分就可以了,千万不要再改动其他的地方。

1.Tom does his homework yesterday.

Who does his homework?

(2.)如果对宾提问,仍然按规则变化。

Tom has helps me with my English.

WhoWhom does Tom help with English?

2.对句子中介词词组提问,要分清介词词组在句中的成分,以确定使用which 或者where:(A)作状语时用where:

(1.)The book is on the desk.

Where is the book?

(2.)H e saw a book on the desk.

Where did he see a book?

(B)作状语时用which:

(1.) The man in the car is Tom’s father.

Which man is Tom’s father?

(2.) The book on the desk is mine

Which is your book?

3.使用whose时要分清它的后面有无名词:

This book is mine.

Whose is this book ?

This is my book.

Whose book is this?

3.使用how many ,how much的区别和具体的规则:分清划线部分是可数名词还是不可数名词。如果可数就用how many,如果不可数就用how much。

(1.)He has $10.

How much does he have?

(2.)They have 10 cats.

How many cats do they have?

4.用what 提问there be句型时要注意去掉there be:

There are 20 books in the room.

What are in the room?

5.有缺省的词情况的变化:

有缺省的词时要注意固定句型的准确选择和运用:

6.注意部分时态中实义动词的变化。

对划线部分提问这种题型是同步检测及单元检测的一种最为常见的题型,大多数学生无从着手,尤其是初学者,更是望而生畏,不敢靠近。为了解决这一问题,帮助其英语学习者尽快入门,通过教学实践,我总结出“五步法”解对划线部分提问题。

一、找

根据划线内容找到合适的疑问词或疑问词短语。

二、写

把所找到的疑问词或疑问词短语写在句首,且第一个字母必须大写。

三、变

1、把原来的陈述句变为一般疑问句。

2、大小写变化,若需要将原句首的(专用名词除外)大写字母变为小写字母。

3、句号变问号,把原陈述句句末的句号变为问号。

4、变单词,如:some变any、already变yet等。

四、去

把原句中的划线部分去掉。

五、补

如果是对动词或动词短语提问,将划线部分去掉后,要划线部分动词的形式用do的相应形式去补充。如:do、doing、done。

二、就划线部分提问的方法

就划线部分提问的基本方法是:先根据划线部分词语的意思和句法功能确定用什么疑问词,然后将原句变为一般疑问句跟在疑问词的后面即可(注意去掉划线部分)。请看实例:He goes to school by bike.

→How does he go to school? 他怎么去上学?

Jim went home yesterday.

→When did Jim go home? 吉姆什么时候回家的?

He was born in Paris.

→Where was he born? 他出生在什么地方?

He can’t come because he is ill.

→Whose wallet is this? 这是谁的钱包?

He bought a dictionary yesterday.

若划线部分是句子主语,则只要用疑问词代替划线部分即可:

Jack stole our money.

→Who stole our money? 谁偷了我们的钱?

若划线部分包含谓语动词,则应用do的适当形式代替划线部分:

He bought a dictionary yesterday.

→What d id he do yesterday? 他昨天做了什么?

She was writing letters last night.

→What was she doing last night? 她昨晚在做什么?

He has sold his house.

→What has he done? 他做了什么?

三、常用疑问词的用法与区别

1.疑问代词与疑问副词的区别。疑问代词主要用作主语或宾语,疑问副词主要用作状语。

2. who 与whom的区别。

3. what, which, who的区别。

4. how long, how often, how soon的区别。三者均可译为“多久”,但有区别:

① how long 指多长时间,主要用来对一段时间(如three days等)提问:

—How long did he stay here? 他在这儿呆了多久?

—About two hours. 大约两小时。

② how often 指每隔多久,主要用来对频度副词或状语(如once a week等)提问:

—How often does he come here? 他(每隔)多久来一次?

5. how many 与how much的区别。两者均表示“多少”,但how many 指数,其后接可数名词复数,how much 指量,其后接不可数名词:

How many children does he have? 他有几个孩子?

How much time did you spend on it? 做此事你花了多少时间?

有时其后不接词,how many 依然指数(可数),how much 依然指量(不可数):

We have plenty of novels. How many do you want? 我们有很多小说。你要多少(本)?

You need some money? How much do you want? 你需要钱? 要多少?

另外,how much还可用来表示计算或询问价钱、重量、程度等:

How much is four times five? 4 乘以5 等于多少?

How much is the coat? 这件上衣多少钱?

How much do you like her?你有多喜欢她?

How much does it weigh? 这东西有多重?

四、两点说明

1.特殊疑问句不能用yes和no来回答。

2.有时两个疑问句可以叠用:

When and where was he born? 他出生于何时何地?

When and how did you find it? 你是在什么时候怎么找到它的?
