Keeping a pet cat puts owners at a greater risk of going blind，but a dog appears to protect

eyesight，a new study suggests.

Scientists have discovered that dogs and cats carry antigens（杭原）which can cause different

the chance of developing glaucoma（青光眼）一the second leading cause of blindness in the

UK--- owning a cat nearly doubles the risk of getting the eye disease.

surgeon Dr David Allamby. "Cats could cause our immune system to react in a way that leads eyes

The college I attended as a young man was a collection of beautiful，red brick buildings built

along the side of a hill. At the bottom of the hill was the closest town. Getting back to the dorms

from the town during the cold，winter months was a hard trip. For those who had been drinking at
