一、教学目标

1. 学习两对意思相反的形容词:“tall”和“short”,“fat”和“thin”。

2. 能运用句型“It’s...”简单地对动物进行描述。

3. 能根据指令做出相应的动作。

4. 帮助学生感受动物的可爱,培养学生热爱动物的情感。

四、教学过程

Step 1: Warm-up

1. 自由谈话。

T: Hello, boys and girls.

Ss: Hello, teacher.

T: How are you today?

Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?

T: I am fine, too. Nice to meet you.

Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

2. 与学生就“动物”的话题进行对话,如:

T: Good morning, boys and girls!

Ss: Good morning, Miss Lee!

T: (拿出一张熊猫的图片) Look, I have a panda!

Ss: Wow! It’s nice!

T: Thanks.

Step 2: Preview

教师出示学生上学期学的有节奏、有韵律的歌谣,让学生练习唱,复习有关动物的知识。

I have a panda. Me too!

I have a dog. Me too!

I have a monkey. Me too!

I have a cat. Me too!

I have an elephant. Me too!

I have a tiger. Me too!

Step 3: Presentation

1. 引出课题。

T: (出示一张动物园的图片) What’s this?

Ss: It’s a zoo.

T: Yes, it’s a zoo. What do you see at the zoo?

Ss: We see many animals.

T: Yes, many animals are at the zoo. Today we’ll learn about animals at the zoo.

板书课题:At the zoo

2. A. Let’s learn.

(1) 教学新单词。

教师出示下列谜语让学生猜:

一种动物名叫鹿,鹿角不长脖子长。

学生猜出谜底是“长颈鹿”后,教师出示长颈鹿的图片说:Look at the giraffe. Its neck is long(强调单词long). 然后出示一张兔子的图片,说:Look at the rabbit. Its tail is short(强调单词short).

接着教师出示一张可爱的大熊猫的图片,说:Look at the panda. It’s fat(强调单词fat).然后出示一张猴子的图片,说:Look at the monkey. It’s thin(强调单词thin).

教师将单词“long”和“short”,“fat”和“thin”写在黑板上,带学生读几遍,帮助学生读准读音,然后师生用“唱反调”的方法练习读单词。

(2) 介绍动物园中的动物:

教师依次出示熊猫、大象、猴子、兔子、小鸟等各种动物的图片,说:A zoo is in our city. There are many animals at the zoo (将各种动物的图片贴在黑板上) . Can you describe the animals at the zoo?

让学生用句型“Look at ... It’s ...”介绍黑板上的动物。

Step 4: Extension

1. A. Let’s do.

(1) 教师出示《西游记》中猪八戒的图片,问:Who’s this? 学生应该能很容易地回答出,然后教师用“猪八戒”的口气说:Hello, everyone. I’m Zhu Bajie. Look at me. I’m fat (教师边说边做形容“fat”的动作).

然后教师分别出示孙悟空、《名侦探柯南》中柯南的缩小版和成人版图片,帮助学生学会做形容“thin”,“short”和“tall”的动作。

(2) 播放教学录音,师生边听录音边做相应的动作。

(3) 再次播放教学录音,学生跟录音读,并做相应的动作。

(4) 游戏:全班学生站起来,教师说指令,如“Be fat”,学生做相应的动作,做错动作的学生坐下,几轮游戏后,站着的学生为获胜者。

2. 游戏:What’s missing?

T: Now, let’s play a game. What’s missing?

S1: Monkey!
