OnahotsummerdayinlastAugust,Isoughtshadeandacooldrinkatawaterfrontcaf

onaGreekisland.Overahundreddegreesin______air.

A.fresh

B.cool

C.still

D.thin

:

C

Themanstepped___1___forthetwochairs.Hepolitely___2___hisladyintheknee- deepwaterandthensatdownhimself. 1.A.outsideB.forwardC.downD.back 2.A.ledB.seatedC.watchedD.received 解析:1.D 。

forsth. 2.B 。

例1:WhenEdfirstphonedand______weplay,Ilaughedquietly ? A.declaredB.mentionedC.persuadedD.suggested 解析:D 。 例2:FinallyPeterdecidedtogototheUSAand ,ashisfatherhadtoldhim ,______tobea doctor. A.studiesB.studyingC.studyD.studied 解

析:

C

知,

d e c i d e d 的宾语,故选C 2

Oneday,thegirl___1___intotheplane,starteditandsoonleftthe___2___.

1.A.climbedB.lookedC.reachedD.fell

2.A.houseB.floorC.waterD.ground

A

的机会 例:However,thetypicalteenagelifestyleisalreadyfilledwithsomuchcompetitionthatit wouldbe___1___toplanactivitiesinwhichtherearemorewinnersthanlosers,___2___, publishingnewsletterswithmanystudent-writtenbookreviews,___3___studentartwork,and sponsoringbookdiscussionclubs. 3.

A.displaying

B.describing

C.creating

D.exchanging 解析:A 。

Hepausedforjustasecond,walkedintothewaterto______the tableand ?? A.setB.washC.removeD.check 解析:A 。s e t t h e t a b l e 在饭桌

例2.Withit,astronautswillacquireaworkhousevehicle______offlyingintospaceand returningmanytimes. 3

A.capable

B.suitable

C.efficient

D.fit

p a

do(ajob,work,shopping,cooking,reading,typing,sewing,good,wrong,damage,harm,afavor, aninjury,etc.) make(astudy,anappointment,arrangements,abreakthrough,acall,acomparison,contribution,a deal,adecision,adiscovery,distinction,aguess,preparations,astart,astart,asurvey,anattempt, anerror,aprofit,afortune,aliving,onesense,point ‘,p s e a w c a e y ,,bed,coffee,afuss,etc.)

例1:Firstofallhewasawindow-cleanerandinhisfirstweekhemanagedto______six

windows. A.rubB.dropC.breakD.clean 解析:D 。

some ?,others;ononehand ?,ontheotherhand;former ?,latter;so ?that;notonly ?b

also;hardly/scarcely ?when ?;nosooner ?than ?;beabouttodo/bedoing/haddone/beonthe pointofdoing/betodo/bereadytodo/beontheway ?when ?; 例2:Iputmyheadin,expectingtheworst.Buttomysurprise,theroomwasn ‘temptyatall. Ithadfurniture,curtains,aTV,andevenpaintingsonthewall.Andthenonthewell-madebedsat Amy,mynew______,dressedneatly. https://www.wendangku.net/doc/8c3830926.html,panion 解析:A 。 例3:Wewere______togobackforclassagainwhentheheadmastercalledustogether andsaid,? A.aboutB.ableC.sorryD.sure 解析:A 。

1:AfteryouhavelearnedtothinkofseveralwordsinEnglish ,thenmoveontothenext step —thinkingin______. A.sentencesB.passagesC.1essonsD.classes

解析:A 。 故选A 。 例2:Somepartsofthewaterareveryshallow.Butinsomeplacesitisvery______. 5

A.deep

B.high

C.cold

D.dangerous

解析:A。

Yetmuchhadhappened__1__.Aswas discussedbefore,itwasnot__2__the19thcenturythatthenewspaperbecamethedominantpre- electronic__3__.

https://www.wendangku.net/doc/8c3830926.html,ter

2.A.afterB.byC.duringD.until

3.A.meansB.methodC.mediumD.measure

解析:1.A.2.D.3.C。

3.递进

inaddition,furthermore,again,also,besides,moreover,what‘smore,what‘sworse,tomak mattersworse,tomakethingsworse,worsestill

4.比较

inthesameway,aswith,similarly,equally,incomparison,justas

5.对照

outside,near,beyond,above,below,ontheright(left),inthemiddle,opposite,infrontof

7.总结

tosumup,toconclude,inaword,inshort,inbrief,allinall,inall,insummary

例1:IthasbeenmanyyearssinceIwaslastinLondon______Istillremembersomething thathappenedduringthatvisit.

A.and

B.for

C.but

D.as

but。

例2:Gettingenoughvitaminsisessentialtolife,althoughthebodyhasnonutritionalusefor excessvitamins.Manypeople______believeinbeingonthe"safeside"andthustakeextra

vitamins.

A.nevertheless

B.therefore

C.moreover

D.meanwhile

解析:A。

The7 method combines this “exposure treatment”with an amount of cortisol, the hormone released by the body in times of 8 .

Every year about 40,000 people attempt to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. keep with意为“把…… 连接”;bring sth. with sb. Every year about 40,000 people attempt to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. A. stories故事;B. buildings建筑物;C. crowds人群;D. reporters记者。 Every year about 40,000 people attempt to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

用if,unless,before,after,until,although,though,as,since,because,so,so that 等构成含状语从句的复合句(这里要注意区分一下复杂句和复合句,复合句是包含在复杂句这个概念里面的,在下文的基础写作部分有提到)。 (3)用who,which,that,when,where,why等构成含定语从句的复合句。

The Internet has become part of young people’s life. ____1____ report shows that 38% of students often use the Internet .

If you studied pictures that ancient people left on rock walls and you tried to determine their meaning, you would not detect a deep interest in romance among the artists. 51 , you would see plenty of animals with people running after them. You have probably heard that opposites attract but that 55 attract, too. One thing is certain: The truth about love is not yet set in stone. First Impression To help determine the 56 of attraction, researchers paired 164 college classmates and had them talk for 3, 6 or 10 minutes so they could get a sense of each other’ s individuality. Then students were asked to 57 what kind of relationship they were likely to build with their partners. After nine weeks, they reported what happened. As it turned out, their 58 judgments often held true. Students seemed to 59 at an early stage who would best fit into their lives.

(when, where, who, what, how…)。

常见的承接语有for one thing…for another… First…and then, First…Next…Then…Finally… 表示让步关系;therefore, so表结果;because, since, due to, owing to… Everyone in business has been told that success is all about attracting and retaining customers.
