教育机智在小学英语课堂上的表现(一) 摘要: 课堂教学是一个师生双向互动的变化过程,意外情况和偶然事件的发生在所难免,小学英语教学也是如此。正所谓“山穷水尽疑无路,柳暗花明又一村”.英语教学的特点之一是要使学生尽可能多地从不同渠道,以不同形式接触和学习英语,亲身感受和直接体验语言及语言运用。且随着人们对新课程观的理解,课程资源的开发和利用越来越受到重视,已成为英语课程实施的重要组成部分。 关键词: 小学英语课堂教学教学资源教育机智课堂活动 一、引言 在小学英语的课堂中,我们面对的是会随时随地给你“surprise”的儿童。他们生性活泼好动,稍不留神就会给你制造各种各样的麻烦。因为:他们对课堂上的游戏津津乐道,他们对老师设计的各项任务乐此不疲,他们对同学间的对话操练回味无穷……面对一个闹哄哄的教室,我们该如何做呢?采取“武力镇压”,或许是个所谓立竿见影、行之有效的方法,然而造成的后果——怎一个“怕”字了得! 这时候就要求我们如何用一两句话,一两个动作或活动排解开,变不利为有利,取得更为理想的教育效果。正是这种在普通事件当中捕捉教育契机的能力和将看似不重要的事情转换成有教育意义的事情的能力,才能更好地利用教学资源,才能使教育机智得以实现。 二、教育机智的涵义 乌申斯基指出:“所谓教育机智,缺乏它,教师无论怎么研究教育理论,永远也不会成为实际工作上的好教师。” 教育机智是教师在教育教学活动中的一种特殊智力定向能力,是指教师关于敏锐地察觉学生身上的细微变化,特别是对意外情况和偶发事件,能够快速及时做出灵敏的反应,果断决策,采取灵活而有效措施以解决问题的特殊能力。 它要求教师能以“变”应“万变”。因为我们身处于不断变化的教育情境中:学生在变,教师在变,气氛在变,时间在变。而我们面临的挑战,有可能是好奇却远离目的的提问,也可能是非善意的挑剔,或是中断教育活动的纪律事件等。它们所造成的干扰绝对有可能打乱正常的教学秩序,甚至形成尴尬局面。尤其在信息化程度高、学生思想日益活跃的今天,课堂教学往往波诡云谲、险象环生,需要教师从容应对、巧妙调度、化险为夷。 三、教育机智在小学英语课堂上的表现 真实的课堂应该是丰富多彩的,充满生机的。对那些意想不到的“高见”和“高潮”,教师应发挥教学机智,捕捉稍纵即失的信息,把各种生成和变动着的信息,化作为活的有价值的教育资源,并能够有效地利用它们弹奏出美妙的乐曲。 (一)、捕捉瞬间 案例1:学生上课开小差. 前不久的一节二年级英语课中,教学内容是灵通英语三年级第八单元的一个句型:Whatisshe/hedoing?。当课堂进行到一半时,气氛紧张而活跃,学生一个个争先恐后地发言,要在同学和老师面前好好地表现一番,老师看到举得高高的小手,心里甚是高兴,可没看到角落里那个像被霜打过的茄子样的小男孩。这节课,他始终没能打起精神,即使是这么热闹的课堂。突然有一位学生报告:“老师,XXX在画画!”话音一落,便引起了同学们的哄堂大笑。我当时我一看是他,心里就特别的生气。而这时他却没有放下手中的笔,还在继续画画。我知道当时如果一把拿过他的画纸撕了,或是大声责骂他几句,或是轻声讽刺他几句,都能让自己很解气。但转念一想,我又强压心中的怒火,走到他身边,语气平和的问:“Whatareyoudoingnow?”(你在做什么呢?)他没想到我会这样问他,或许是他没能听懂我的问
